The most authoritative ranking of the greatest films of all time, polled every 10 years by Sight & Sound magazine. The 2022 edition surveyed 1,639 critics, programmers, curators, and academics — and made history when Chantal Akerman's Jeanne Dielman became the first film by a woman to top the list.
