Following Polls

Follow a poll you didn't create to get notified when voting closes and the winner is announced.

Following a poll

On any open poll page, click Follow. The poll is added to your followed-polls list and you'll receive an email when the host closes it. Following requires a signed-in Movie Night Polls account — you'll be prompted to sign in if you aren't already.

What you're notified about

Today: poll closed only. When the host runs the close flow (web or chat), you receive an email with the winner and a link back to the poll page. No notifications fire for new votes, new comments, or shares.

Unfollowing

Click Following on the poll page to unfollow. You can also manage your follows from your account settings.

If you created the poll

Hosts are automatically notified when their own polls close — no need to follow.

Privacy

Follow records are private. Other users — including the host — can't see who is following a poll. Counts are anonymized.
