Subscribing to Polls

Subscribe to a poll you didn't create to get notified when voting closes and the winner is announced. (Subscribing to a poll is different from following a person — see your activity feed for that.)

Subscribing to a poll

On any open poll page, click Subscribe. The poll is added to your subscriptions and you'll receive an email when the host closes it. Subscribing requires a signed-in Movie Night Polls account — you'll be prompted to sign in if you aren't already.

What you're notified about

Today: poll closed only. When the host runs the close flow (web or chat), you receive an email with the winner and a link back to the poll page. No notifications fire for new votes, new comments, or shares.

Unsubscribing

Click Subscribed on the poll page to unsubscribe. You can also manage your subscriptions from your account settings.

If you created the poll

Hosts are automatically notified when their own polls close — no need to subscribe.

Privacy

Subscriptions are private. Other users — including the host — can't see who is subscribed to a poll. Counts are anonymized.
