Movie Night Polls

Pro feature

Let the movies speak, not the host

Anonymous polls keep your username and display name off the poll, so the vote is about the films — not who picked them or who's running the night.

Anonymous polls are a Pro feature. Free polls show the host's profile name.

  • Your name stays out of it

When a poll is anonymous, your display name and handle never appear on it. Great for office picks where you'd rather not be 'the person who chose the three-hour war film', and for group nights where the organizer wants the choice to feel collective.

  • Less bias, better votes

People vote differently when they know whose idea each option was. Strip the host's name off the poll and you get a cleaner read on what the group actually wants to watch — not who they want to please.

  • Pairs perfectly with private polls

Combine anonymous with an unlisted poll and you've got a vote that's both off-the-record and off-the-radar — shared only with the people you send the link to, attributed to no one.

FAQ

What exactly gets hidden?
Your username and display name are removed from the poll, so visitors can't see who created it.
Are individual votes anonymous too?
Voting on the web doesn't expose voter names on the poll. Anonymous mode additionally hides you, the host, so nothing on the poll points back to a person.
Can I make a poll both anonymous and private?
Yes — they're separate toggles. Anonymous hides the host; private (unlisted) keeps the poll out of public browse and search. Use either or both.
Is this available on the free plan?
No, anonymous polls are part of Pro. Free polls display the host's profile name.
