Creating a Poll with the AI Curator

The AI Curator is a conversational tool that generates personalized movie suggestions for your poll based on your preferences.

Getting started

Navigate to AI Curator from the Create page or header. Click Create with AI to begin.

Step 1: Choose genres

Select up to 2 genres that match the vibe of your movie night. Options include Action, Comedy, Drama, Horror, Romance, Science Fiction, Thriller, Documentary, and Animation. These genres help the AI tailor its suggestions to your taste.

Step 2: Describe your vibe

Type a short description of the kind of movie night you want. For example, "light-hearted comedies", "70s cult classics", or "Swayze appreciation night". If you need inspiration, click the Auto-suggest button and the AI will generate a vibe for you based on your selected genres.

Step 3: Review movie suggestions

The AI will generate 5 to 8 movie suggestions based on your genres and vibe. These appear in a horizontal gallery. You can click the X on any movie to exclude it from your poll.

Step 4: Get a title and description

Optionally, click Get Suggestions to have the AI generate a poll title and description for you. You can also click Edit Manually to write your own. If the AI suggestion doesn't feel right, click refresh to generate a new one.

Launching your poll

Once you're happy with your movies, title, and description, click Launch Poll. The launch settings (visibility, votes per submission, anonymous mode, dark mode) are the same as creating a poll from scratch. See Creating a Poll from Scratch for details on launch settings.

Who can use the AI Curator?

The AI Curator is available to all signed-in users, both free and Pro. Standard free plan limits still apply (5 polls per month, 6 movie options per poll).
